To use them in crafts you have to dry them. To so this cut them at the top of the stem and lay them all out face down on a tea towel or a piece of kitchen towel. Put them in a dark and cool space, an airing cupboard wound be perfect. Leave them there for about a week. they should then be dry and slightly shrivled up. Take the dried pestles away from the middle of the flower.
Calendula candles:
You will ned to buy some soy wax and some candle wicks.
Firstly, melt the soy wax in a pan gently. Add some of the calendula to the wax.
Jet a glass jar (You can use an old clean jam jar) and place the wick in the jar. you can use a little bit of wax to secure it down. Use lolly stick to keep the wick straight while you poor the wax in.
Once meted add the wax to a glass jar.
When the wax is starting to solidify add the rest of the calendula on tot eh top of the candles.
When the wax has solidified cut the wick so there is a little pit left at the top.
